The Song

Just in case you wanted to hear "the song" here we are with earsplitting precision. The_Bday_Song

The Loud and Raucous One

So today was the loud version of the kid's party. ~20 kids or so and a very successful hour in the colder-than-usual water. Some friends from their old school in Shutebury, some from Wildwood, some from Baha'i school and other special folks. Then it was downstairs to a very cramped hallway for another hour of pizza, cake and sorted fizzy drinks. We thought that it was going to be a disaster all cramped down there but it turned out to be alot of fun and defeaningly loud (what?). The boys appeared to have a great time and came back to the house happy. Short but sweet and to the point. Spent the rest of the afternoon with the Brandons chillin here at the crib. Again loud but pleasing. The video shows the energy level witnessed this morning before the party. Pre-Party

Co-Zee

These were some random pics in the previous post and this one. Some house pics from the inside, Alfie the entertainer at Ericka's bday party, damage to my bike tire on our last jaunt through Bull Hill, the move and others. We are now more than half way through our second week in our new residence and things are feeling cozy. Britt, Alfie and Irene flew to Chicago to celebrate Lise's 40th bday this past weekend and the boys and I spent a pretty spectacular weekend that ended in a leaf pile 6 ft (1.83 meters) high. It is absolutely amazing how much fun one can have in a 1.83 meter high leaf pile!!! We skated into it, scootered into it, dove into it, buried ourselves in it, threw it at eachother and just watched the majic as they floated down randomly in the breeze. Pics of that jaunt soon to come...

Settling along with the dust

I just finished some of the best porkroast-sweetpotato-broccoli I have ever tasted. Perfection courtesy of Ericka. Alfie is out at volleyball (a wednesday night ritual), and all the rest of the gang are upstairs in one stage or another in their journey towards dreamtime. I get the dishes and a quiet moment to upload some pics. Things are definitely settling with the dust from the sanding of the floors. The entire house was covered in different, let's say, fun shades of carpet hiding beautiful wood floors beneath. Alfie and I and a few friends loaded and unloaded a 26 foot (8 meter) truck 4 times two weekends ago!!! We were sore for the entire week after but we did it. Two storage spaces and 3 families (Irene moved in to Alfie and Ericka's place in Shutebury) later we are living in this wonderful house that becomes a little less chaotic every day as we unpack stuff and learn that the silverware are to the right, the cups are in the upper left, the tools need to be put back in the same place every time, and all 3 doors have to be locked at night.
